How BesterSecurity came to be
It started with genuine curiosity
Technology has always been more than a career for me. It's something I have genuinely enjoyed learning, building, troubleshooting, and improving for as long as I can remember.
A decade inside real business environments
Over the past decade, I've had the opportunity to support businesses across healthcare, education, legal, finance, nonprofit, and small business environments. That experience has shown me how important reliable technology is to daily operations, security, communication, and long-term growth.
I began my IT career providing frontline technical support and worked my way into systems administration, network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and IT consulting. My time in a Managed Service Provider environment exposed me to a wide range of businesses, systems, and technical challenges, and built hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, Fortinet security, backups, disaster recovery, endpoint protection, and business continuity planning.

Still hands-on today
Today, I continue to expand my experience working with cloud infrastructure for a technology startup, helping design and manage secure, scalable environments in Google Cloud while collaborating with developers and business leaders. I've also supported organizations with strict security and compliance expectations, including environments where HIPAA and PCI considerations matter and where documentation, reliability, and protecting sensitive data are essential.
Why I started BesterSecurity
The reason is simple: many small businesses need experienced IT guidance, but they don't always need a full-time internal IT department or a large managed services contract. They need someone who can review their environment, explain what matters, help prioritize improvements, and provide honest recommendations.
My goal is to make IT feel less overwhelming. Whether I'm reviewing backups, strengthening Microsoft 365 security, planning a network upgrade, troubleshooting a recurring issue, or helping a business prepare for future growth, I approach every project with the same mindset: treat the client's business with the same care and attention I would want for my own.
Technology never stops evolving, and neither should the people who work in it. I'm always learning, improving, and looking for better ways to help businesses build systems that are secure, dependable, and easier to manage.
